Butterscotch JoeLate-night DJ
Joe is the host of Marsh FMs™ Jazz, Rock and Blues show. It is believed the 'Butterscotch' moniker relates to his silky baritone voice. Something of a loner, Joe is fascinated with sound and obsessess over obscure musicians and bands he is on air between the hours of Midnight and 6am before handing over to Breakfast show DJ, Lazurus Chase.
Donald 'Donnie' DogoodVicar of St Winifreds Church
An active member of the community and a familiar face to all three of our heroes because he runs the local youth club. Donnie has his heart in the right place and just wants to do right by everyone. Only problem is that he has a streak of cowardice that makes him freeze up whenever his carefully ordered world is disrupted. Which, in Marsh Haven, Happens a lot!
Lazarus ChaseMorning DJ for Marsh FM
Lazarus (Laz to his friends) has been a staple of Marsh FMs™ breakfast show for what feels like forever. Up beat and cheerful, Laz loves to be the centre of attention and has a roving eye for the ladies that has been known to get him into trouble. Behind his upbeat demeanour is a somewhat cruel streak. Laz can turn nasty if things don't go his way.
June 'Nana' CasperProprietor of 'Tim's DIY'
There isn't a single child in Marsh Haven who hasn't been dragged down to Tim's DIY to pick up an item. The shop literally sells any household item you could need and more. There always seems to be people in the shop and Nana can often be seen beavering away in a back room while one of her ever-changing assortment of employees minds the till. Nana has a soft spot for children as she always comes out to speak to them about school or give them a sweetie or two on the sly.
Malcolm NeepCaretaker - Anna Kingsford Comprehensive
Scourge of children everywhere Malcome is a stickler for the rules, holding them sacred above everything else regardless of whether they are right or wrong. He's something of a buffoon and a bumbling idiot. He's married with no children and the domineering Mrs Neep likes nothing better than to put Malcolm in his place.
Damon HawkinsMayor of Marsh Haven
Mayor Hawkins was elected into office in the Autumn of 1972 he was a popular candidate, having been a councillor and chair of Marsh Haven Parish Council. He can often be seen at town events accompanied by his very tall and serious wife Martha. He is in the local newspaper almost every week attending some sort of function.
The Marsh KingUnknown
Nobody Knows who he really is. To the best of anyone's knowledge, he never speaks and will only acknowledge you if you call him 'Highness' He can usually be found wearing a paper crown and pushing his old shopping trolley of belongings through the streets of Marsh Haven
Seamus ColeUnemployed 'Activist'
Seamus is a known figure around Marsh Haven. He can usually be found on the high street with a display of information about whatever cause he's decided to support that week. He exudes youthful arrogance that he mistakes for charm. He has little intelligence but a gift for remembering information. Has 1 O-level in politics (which he proudly tells anyone stupid enough to listen). Short version - He's a bit of a wanker.
